Choosing Your Surface

The strength and stability of your Floyd Bed Framework greatly depends on the size, thickness, weight, and type of material you select for your panel. The simplest, most cost-effective panels can be made from plywood, however, there are plenty of other options! Recommended Thickness (for each panel) 1.5"

To achieve the required thickness, consider laminating two 0.75" thick plywood together.

The Twin Bed Framework requires 2 panels.

The Full/Queen Bed Framework requires 3 panels.

A King or California King Framework requires 4 panels.
