Overview: 

We’re excited to be looking for a Staff Accountant to join Floyd’s accounting and finance team. Timely and accurate financial information is at the core of how we fulfill our mission. Working with our experienced finance team and cross-functional partners, you'll ensure that financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately. In addition, you’ll help support the daily financial operations. This role is full-time and must be based in Detroit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Month End Close activities; including account reconciliation and journal entry processing.
  • Apply accounting principles & processes, including implementing and maintaining timely documentation and risk mitigation.
  • Invoice and billing processing on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with the annual audit.

This Might Describe You:

  • 3+ years of accounting work experience, experience with GAAP accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks, as well as readiness to learn various online payment platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Detail oriented and organized documentation.
  • Experience working with a team on cross-functional projects and achieving measurable results.
  • Able to manage your workload and operate independently.
  • Motivated to create more effective workflow processes and methods.
